Our Ideal Candidate
The pastoral candidate would ideally be ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) or be eligible and willing to be ordained into the EPC. The EPC holds the Scriptures as the final authority in all matters and the Westminster Confession of Faith as the commentary that best expresses its understanding of the Bible. Kingman Presbyterian Church is well-established and debt-free-owning our building/property. As a Christ-centered, local body of believers, our worship of God is joyfully and reverently expressed through: prayer, expository teaching (mainly), doctrinally sound songs lead by a choir, Biblical discipleship, local and global evangelism and good stewardship of God’s provision. Our intent is to offer benefits which will allow our Pastor to live in dignity, including salary, housing allowance, auto allowance, health care and retirement package.
About Us
KPC’s motto is “A Place to Call Home!” We are a warm, welcoming, and friendly congregation. We have a 9 a.m. Contemporary Service with Praise Team Participation and also a 10:45 a.m. Traditional Service with Choir Participation. Fellowship is a very important part of our time in between Sunday Services as well as Holiday Dinners etc.
Our Community
As a congregation of approximately 90 members, we have only one pastor; therefore, experience in both ministerial and administrative responsibilities would be needed. We are open to a brother who may be an Associate Pastor at this time, but is sensing God’s leading toward a Senior Pastor position. We are seeking a pastor who meets the Scriptural guidelines (laid out in 1 Timothy, Titus, etc.). This includes being a loving shepherd, faithfully and clearly communicating God’s Word, one who continually lives out his faith as an example to others, graciously and unshakably upholds the truth of the Word and Biblically disciples the flock, as well as, reaches out to the community with the gospel.
Our Location
The general culture of Kingman Arizona is expressed in the church’s motto of “A Place to Call Home!”. Kingman is a small, high desert city of approximately 34,000 people. It is a generationally and economically diverse town that offers a slower and quieter pace of life. We are part of Old Route 66 and we enjoy our historic roots, while, at the same time, growing and improving as a city. We are the county seat for Mohave County AZ; which is mainly rural, but contains 3 larger cities – Kingman, Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City. We are centrally located and are a hub by car, plane and train allowing easy access to: mountains, rivers, lakes, cities in several states, and the activities which these provide.
